Abukloi Argriculture
Abukloi's Agriculture initiative will provide a self-sustaining meal program for our school and an agriculture training center for the entire community. We are tackling food insecurity by teaching sustainable agriculture practices and techniques and promoting economic development through the production and sale of crops and livestock.
Most of our students survive on only one meal a day. Chronic hunger negatively effects their ability to learn.
It costs 42-cents to feed an Abukloi student one meal. That's only $120 a year per person. Yet, purchasing enough food to feed over 650 students and 52 staff every day is cost-prohibitive. We need a sustainable solution.

Community Development: School Garden
By allowing neighboring women to cultivate the school grounds, Abukloi improves the lives of the community and provides food for the school.
Women in the neighborhood plant produce on the school's campus.

Economic Development: Nancy's Garden
Four miles from the secondary school, we have cultivated 2.5 acres (1 hectare) of vegetable gardens.
The entire community came out to support this new initiative by Abukloi. Funding for Nancy's Garden came from the Tack Family in honor of their mother.
